Starbucks Corporation is an international coffee and coffeehouse chain. Starbucks is the largest coffeehouse company in the world, with over 18,000 stores in 60 countries, including approximately 11,000 in the United States. Starbucks largest markets outside the United States include Canada, Japan, the U.K. and China.
Mr. Lovejoy joined Starbucks in March 2010 as senior vice president, Global Planning and International Supply Chain Operations. Steve’s area of responsibility includes leading the end to end supply chain operations across Asia which includes China, Japan, India and 12 additional markets across Asia Pacific. Mr. Lovejoy’s supply chain leadership responsibilities span multiple categories including beverages, food, merchandise and store fixtures. As well, Mr. Lovejoy also has responsibility for building the supply chain infrastructure to expedite the significant company expansion and growth across the region including new store openings, geographic expansion and new product commercialization.
Prior to joining Starbucks Coffee Company, Mr. Lovejoy was employed by Method Home Products, where he served as vice president, Supply Chain, responsible for the Global Supply Chain function including planning, sourcing, manufacturing and logistics as well as quality and commercialization project management organizations. Prior, Mr. Lovejoy was employed by The Clorox Company, serving as vice president, Product Supply International, responsible for 21 manufacturing sites and over 2,000 employees in 22 countries. Since 1998, Steve held various positions within the Clorox Supply Chain operation, including Director of Strategic Projects, Director of Manufacturing and Area Manufacturing Manager. Mr. Lovejoy’s additional experiences include various plant management, planning, logistics and Greenfield plant start-up roles, with over 10 years in food operations.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and completed an Executive Development Program through the Wharton School of Management. He is based in Seattle, Washington.
